Breaking News ; Tottenham Hotspurs has Sacked Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has been Sacked as Tottenham Manager just after 18 months with the club.

He replaced Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019, the experienced manager guided Spurs to a Europa League spot in his first season despite a host of injuries to key players.

However, following a bright start to this campaign and after reaching the Carabao Cup final, results have been extremely poor since the turn of the year, expecially the Europa League exit by Dinamo Zagreb after going to Croatia with a 2-0 lead from the first leg.

Getting back on track with a win at Aston Villa, Spurs have only picked up two points from a possible nine in their last three league games after drawing against Newcastle United and Everton either side which followed a 1:3 home defeat to Manchester United

With Tottenham now five points adrift of the Champions League places with six league games remaining, the Tottenham board has now made the huge call to part with the man they appointed just under 18 months ago after being sacked by fellow Manchester United.

A statement read ;

"The Club can today announce that Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra have been relieved of their duties.

"Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: "Jose and his coaching staff have been with us through some of our most challenging times as a Club. Jose is a true professional coach who showed his proffesionalism during the pandemic.

 On a personal level I have enjoyed working with him and regret that things have not worked out as we both had wanted. He will always be welcome here and we should like to thank him and his coaching staff for their enormous ontribution.""

Ryan Mason will take First Team training session today.
