Fantastic Greenwood's Brace gives Manchester United Win over Burnley

Manchester United survived a scare at Old Trafford to impressively get the better of stubborn Burnley.

United of course headed into the  match  as the  favourites to grab all 3 points, having made it four wins and after   booking their spot in the semi-finals of the Europa League at the expense of Granada on Thursday at home.

Burnley, on the other hand, remain and languishing above the relegation zone.

It was a highly contested match as the visitors gave the Red devils no chance to break through, and the host having the highest position.

The hosts eventually took the lead early in the 2nd-half, when Mason Greenwood strikes with his left foot after a display involving Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes.

Burnley, though, quickly levelled things up, when James Tarkowski got the better of Harry Maguire to drive a header beyond Dean Henderson from a corner kick. But despite the equaliser, United kept the pressure on Burnley  But such will was eventually broken a little over five minutes from time, when that same man 

Greenwood stepped up once again, to lash home a deflected strike from the right and straight to the net. Edisson Cavani then tapped from a close range to wrap up the game for Manchester United at stoppage time with a 3:1 win.  

The result means that Manchester United are now eight points behind Leaders Manchester City with six games left to play, while Burnley are in the 17th place at the bottom.and six place above the relegation zone..
