Latest News; KLOOP; Liverpool do not deserve a Champions League Football after draw with Newcastle.

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool players don’t deserve Champions League football following a 1:1 draw with Newcastle United at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool an early lead at Anfield but the Premier League champions failed to extend their lead after missing several chances. Newcastle United thought they had scored a late equaliser but Callum Wilson’s effort was ruled out by VAR due to handball.

But Steve Bruce’s side grabbed an important 95th minutes point through Joe Willock’s deflected effort.

The draw has left Liverpool a point behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who face West Ham on Saturday evening. But Klopp concedes that his side are not playing well enough to secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

Kloop continued  ‘Look, what we always say, if you deserve it, you deserve it.  Liverpool’s top-four hopes have been dealt another blow with their draw against Newcastle. I didn’t see us today that we deserve to play Champions League next year. ‘We have another five games, we’ll see what we can do until then, we have a few days until we play Man United, so it will be a tough game as well. ‘We learn, or we don’t play Champions League.
