Aubameyang; Villarreal Clash Could be the Biggest Match in my Arsenal Career

It is almost exactly two years to the day since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick against Valencia in the second leg of a Europa League semi-final.

Now the Gabonese international and Arsenal skipper will be looking for another big performance at home tonight against a Villarreal team that beat them 2:1 last week, both individually and collectively.

"Definitely it was a good performance against Valencia years back and it was a big game as well," Aubameyang said. "Yes I think it was my best performance since I’ve been here at Arsenal. It was really great game, hopefully I can do it agaist villareal too also.

"I think I was really motivated in these types of games because a few times I have received some criticism of not being involved in big games, so I wanted to show people that it’s not true and that they are wrong.

"This is why I am really excited to play this game on thursday because it is a big game and it’s a big moment for all of us at Arsenal and Hopefully we will deliver again.

"For sure it will be one of the biggest games of my Arsenal career Definitely this season is the most important game and we know that we have to win this game.

"It is a big opportunity for us to get to the final, we play at home and this is maybe the biggest challenge I could ever face in my career at the Club.
